Abstract

Due to their good properties polymer materials (both polymer and polymer composites) are present in almost all area of human activity. Their final properties are processing-sensitive. In order to detect possible defect as processing consequence optical polarizing microscope was used to analyse tested materials (polybutene, poly (buthylene therephtalate). Furthermore, composite voids content and its influence on properties were obtained.

Keywords: structural defects, polybutene pipe, optical polarizing microscope, voids content, glass-reinforced polyester composite
