This contribution provides a summary of a number of talks with Dutch companies on product structuring. Some of the issues are: the close interrelationship between the design interpretation of product structure and the data management interpretation of product structure, mUltiple views and product structure as a basis for design process management. The need is identified for tools for improved data management support and for the design of product families.
